Reading the ED reviews confirms these are not isolated incidents/occurrences. As a health professional, I encouraged my mother to seek medical advice after noticing some significant symptoms needing to be addressed. She traveled via ambulance because she was not ambulatory (not able to walk). She requested an alternative hospital, however EMS always makes an excuse to only go to Scotland Memorial whether an emergency or not. When the ER "doc" approached my mother, he chastised her for coming to "his ER" stating and I quote "don't you ever come back to my ER complaining of weakness." This man had already made plans to send her home without any work up to rule out anything. My mother had health insurance and deserved to be treated better than that! All I can say is good luck if you choose Dr. Amiri. For starters, somehow a brain tumor was missed by Amiri for years after having multiple MRI’s. It wasn’t until a random hospital visit recently in which I had another one done and found out, and confirmed it was in last MRI about 5 years prior as well. Also, these days you would think the office is closed. No response to me or pharmacy on seizure medication refills. Just putting it out there- if I have a seizure due to Dr. Amiri and his practices incompetence not to call in a prescription, Its on them! And this is by no means the first time. So frustrated for not moving on before now- Can’t find another Neurologist fast enough!

This place proves you don't have to get as much work done when everybody puts calls on hold 20 times per call. Seriously I was on the phone for 6 minutes and put on hold 20 times. And not one person can identify the patient I was calling about for months. They don't keep their systems organized and nobody knows what they are doing here. The worst experience in trying to find records for a patient I could have ever imagined. I would strongly advise against wasting your time even going to this facility, just drive another hour away if you can.

This has to be THE worst hospital on earth...the emergency room PA named Boone has the bedside manner of a snail... don't come here unless you are about to die...then I would go somewhere else

The best 100 bed hospital in the Carolinas, for sure! Maybe in the country. A special spirit.
