The staff is amazing. They have made our father's stay tolerable and productive in getting home back on his feet. A lot said for a patient that can be a challenge at times. The attending staff has bonded with him and he feels valued, loved, and safe. We have been included in his care plan and communication is excellent. Thank you for taking such great care of our 90 year old father!

DAY 104 of my Father’s Hospitalization, & finally DAY 1 of INPATIENT REHAB. First time ever here, for both my Father (Patient) and Myself (Advocate). The Staff, made a great first impression. They were all professional, very thorough & so sweet to my Father, already. The place is very clean, with beautiful ambiance. So far, so GREAT. I know it’s only day one…..but first impressions are lasting impressions. Thank you, Schenectady Rehabilitation Center.

Warning ⚠️ do not put your older family members here it is awful. They are either understaffed or unwilling to work patience are waiting two plus hours for assistance to get to the bathroom. No showers for over a week. Staff will leave patients on a wheelchair wherever in the room without a way to get to their food bathroom Bed or call bell. They run out of diapers and other necessities some not getting replenished for days waiting on deliveries. Someone needs to call the health department or something.

My father was here for less than 72 hours and except for one very attentive female aide named Leigh or Lee this experience was awful. I arrived there yesterday and found my father unresponsive and burning up. I asked for him to be assessed. He saw a nurse, a supervisor and a doctor who basically dismissed it and just gave him Tylenol and promised to give him something else if that wasn’t effective. While waiting with him to see if it worked, he deteriorated and I spent an hour trying to get anyone to come and assess him. He was screaming out in pain and trying to get up. When I finally got a nurse supervisor and I told her to call an ambulance. Unbeknownst to me, she went and called the medical director instead. She came back and told me that the director thought it was sepsis and they cou
