Sausalito Optometry

We really like Dr. McCoy and her team. Twice we went for eye exams and then waited for glasses. Both times the glass did not work and they had disposed of the former lenses. They sent them back. We waited for weeks and weeks. When they finally did arrive they were workable but still not right. Too bad. Great group of people but a terrible, terrible lab. A very expensive and time consuming mistake for us.

We are huge fans of Sausalito Optometry! For over 10 years, my whole family has benefited from the care and expertise of Dr. McCoy and her fabulous, committed team. As my son said at an early age, Dr. McCoy is my FAVORITE doctor! We find awesome frames in her in-house selection, they have patiently coaxed us through learning to use contact lenses, and they just make the whole experience fun and easy. Not to mention, Dr. McCoy makes the most jaw-dropping gingerbread houses every holiday! We love you guys. Thanks for being such a great part of the community.

Dr. McCoy and her team provide AMAZING service - they really take the time to show how much they care. She has given me tips that no other eye doctor had before, on how to manage my dry, irritated, allergy-prone eyes. They also clearly communicated all options and recommendations to help me make decisions around whether or not to get glasses and how my insurance works. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Outstanding service! Clean, beautiful office. Peaceful atmosphere. Dr. McCoy and her staff are all wonderful, kind people. There is no doubt that they care about each and everyone of their patients. Dr. McCoy goes above and beyond to find out what is happening with me in order to best maintain and support my vision needs and health. If only other Doctors and their staff could be like this. I love these people, they are 100% professional and all heart.

Not recommended at all (bad to no communication, failed to update my prescription, required frequent prompting). Maureen McCoy took advantage of my insurance and took retinal pics without asking if I even wanted them, but since my insurance pays for it, it's fine! She then failed to update my 2 yr old, pre-covid, prescription, and just used the same measurements that I brought in. The whole reason for going in is for a better prescription. No follow up offered or needed. She never communicated this to the front office, who ordered trial lenses, which wasted another 3-4 weeks. I asked for the prescription and they refused to give "until finalized" ..there's nothing to finalize, I found out, it's the same outdated prescription! Had they told me it's the same thing, I could have checked mysel
