Sarasota Memorial Nursing & Rehabilitation Center

I was a patient for two weeks to rehabilitate from a broken leg. I received consistently excellent and compassionate care. All staff members were focused on meeting all of my physical and psychological needs. When finally returning home to complete my rehabilitation I was fully prepared by the center to do so.

Truly exceptional care was given to my mother. Her health was so precarious when she entered the facility and with the expertise care from the aides and CNA 'S they encouraged her to bounce back to health again. Thank you. Their physical therapy programme is excellent and Victoria helped my mother become much stronger and thrive. Thank you. Every nurse we worked with were amazing and addressed any concerns. Thank you. Thank you Dr Mansoor for all that you have done to make my mum strong enough to make it home.

My dad was admitted to Sarasota Memorial Nursing & Rehab on August 8th and had to be sent back to the hospital on August 17th. While the staff seemed friendly at first, the overall care he received was extremely poor, and what I witnessed (and what his visitors reported) left me deeply worried. He was repeatedly left with meals he couldn’t manage—juice containers unopened, silverware or napkins out of reach, his bed not raised, and no help cutting food. He was so dehydrated and weak that he tried drinking from a tiny hole he made in an unopened juice container. Staff never seemed to notice or assist, even though he clearly wasn’t eating or drinking. Maybe I was to young to be in this place, probably. I had a compound fracture in my back. Went there for rehab. The OT and PT was very helpful and cordial. The case mgr Ms. Antlitz, helped me immensely.Including get me p/t and o/t at home. The problem was roommates. I had 1 that accused me of changing her TV channel. What I did was show how to change channel. Besides she was also blind. The other roommate I had, wanted heat turn up in room. It was already 90 degrees in that room. Also wanted TV turned down, meanwhile she was totally deaf and blasted her TV. That was it for me. Got into a private room and went home next day.Good luck. If you 90 yrs old this is the place for you!

Outstanding staff make this Rehab facility stand out as a super place to go after surgery. All were professionally trained and educated and caring and respectful (!) persons with experience which really helped a lot. From top administration personnel and physician to all the medical assistants and aides , all were exceptionally skilled at making me feel better and get better (Nurses and Physical Therapists were top notch!) and the facility was well-maintained, very clean and the staff was always pleasant from morning till night. They do a great job!
