I am so thankful that the VA sent me to Santa Fe Family Dental! I have had nothing but a positive experience with them. They are professional, honest and don't try and do things that are not needed. The staff are so nice. The really sweet lady at the front desk actually remembered my name after just one visit and now checks me in when I walk in the door. She is so efficient and professional. The cleanings and exams are top notch and I feel like this is the best care I have gotten in the last 30 years or so. Thank you Santa Fe Dental for being a dental office that folks can actually look forward to going to!! Not something you can find easily these days.

It started when my daughter needed a procedure to attach a chain to her canine as part of her orthodontic treatment. Our family dentist referred to an oral surgeon and unfortunately our insurance didn’t cover it. Shortly after, my son needed a root canal that was affecting his orthodontic progress. My experience at Santa Fe Dental has been amazing. Like most, I feared the dentist like the plague. Now, I don’t mind it. The atmosphere from the reception area to the dentists chair is inviting. I have had deep cleanings, cavities corrected, two crowns, and an implant completed at Santa Fe Dental. All these procedures were pleasant. Dr. David Alpert and his Dental Technician, Paige, uses a vibrating tool that numbs my gums while injecting the numbing medicine. This was a game changer for me. My most recent procedure was the implant on my upper jaw. I felt zero discomfort during the injections or the procedure itself. I asked for Dr. David Alpert and Paige to be my dental team for now on. This practice takes advantage of college students and their parents. My son was told he was required by Florida law to get X-rays in order to receive a basic teeth cleaning. That statement is simply not true. There is no Florida statute that requires X-rays before a routine dental cleaning. I completely agree that radiographs can be good clinical practice when appropriate. However, my son already has current X-rays from his dentist at home, which we could have easily provided. That option was never offered. Instead, the office insisted new X-rays were “required” and added $328 in charges just to proceed with a cleaning. To make matters worse, the treatment plan itself contained inaccuracies — including a dental code that does not align with the tooth location listed. That kind of basic

my mother, (Emily M.) was recently seen by Dr. Alpert at SFFD. She had wonderful things to tell me about Dr. Alpert, the great office staff, and the very fine dental hygienists and assistants.
