Sanatoga Center

Mom is 97 years old. Went to sanatoga after release from Phoenixville hospital wirh pneumonia. Staff was not allowed to help me get mom from my car! After raising a fuss there was an aide that was kind enough to Help me! That was the ONLY positive I can give! NOT happy with this place at all! Call bell didn’t work - which we didn’t know until mom waited over 35 minutes abd my complaining for someone to taje her to the bathroom. Told them evety day mom can’t have milk but yet every day, they brought her milk. Food trays were brought in, put on table and aide left - never asking if mom needed any help! Dirty clothes were put in dresser drawers instead of laundry bag. No one ever came to taje mom for walk, etc. patients were just left sitting in wheelchairs all day/nite

Dad came from Jefferson Einstein late at night like 830 or nine. We were trepidatious because we’ve gone to Shannondale, but they were full. We could not be more pleasantly surprised about everything at Saratoga. Chuck is the best! Sonja and Ingrid were absolutely wonderful upon our arrival. They must’ve done research because they hooked my dad up with another Car guy, Lou as his roommate. We couldn’t ask for a better roommate. He was seen this morning at 8 o’clock by Sarah and Stephanie, the director of PT and the assistant Director of PT. Kierra has taken over for Chuck and is just as wonderful! It is a great relief. Two weeks ago I was unexpectedly admitted to Sanatoga center for physical rehabilitation I'd had another fall with no injury however my physician felt I would benefit to some strengthening and a review of the basic rules of ambulatory safety. I was not happy! I just wanted to go home. But I aquiessed and decided to just give it a try I must tell you I realized that I not only needed physical help but I needed rest I needed help being able to focus again and I needed to eat After about two weeks I feel brand new. I have been sleeping every night I have PT Twice daily and OT as well. My brain is clearer I feel much more focused and just the fact that as a diabetic I am eating three meals a day my entire energy has changed The entire staff is excellent. Do ur self a favor and Do NOT ever go here unless u want ur family or friends or yourself to rot in bed and not be seen my nurses for hours while they sit and yap with one another and when they do come in they have no answers and treat u like ur dumb and also not wanna help. People in need sitting in halls to get any attention and still get ignored by staff and staff talking to them like they are stupid or slow when they are human spending money to be there. The saddest thing I have ever seen my mom wasn’t in there for more then a day and half and she needed to be there for 4 days and she couldn’t handle the no care and I couldn’t let her be treated like scum. And see everyone else be mistreated. Just cause they don’t beat u doesn’t mean it’s not neglect. Even the supervisor was rude to me
