San Joaquin Valley Rehabilitation Hospital

Fantastic rehab facility! They are very tentative to individuals needs and try to stay as consistent as possible, with therapist staying with the patient from start to finish. Meals are healthy and consistent, but rather bland for my wife's (the patient) liking. Facility is on the older side so so.e maintenance is needed, but they are quick to address it best they can. No complaints. My wife's only complaint is that although she gets ample time with the therapists, she wishes they offered a companion option during the down time, especially at nights, since visitation ends at 8pm. Overall, I would recommend this facility for any rehab needs.

I was well taken care of while here! Each staff member that I interacted with was polite, professional and respectful. Dr. Cha is amazing and worked well at meeting my needs and making sure that I was comfortable pain wise. My day nurse was amazing and was on it with my pain meds. I rarely had to call her for them because she usually had them ready for me by their due time. The facility itself is a little older however it is kept up well. It was in good repair and comfortable. The rooms are double occupancy. The gym is great and set up for all kinds of therapies. The food was delicious and well seasoned. I early had to add salt to my food. It was usually served hot and with my preferences in mind.

I was a patient at San Joaquin Valley Rehabilitation Hospital in Nov. of 2025, for 11 days. Everyone was excellent! The medical care was great! Dr. Cha was very caring, always had a smile, very positive, and had the patients smiling or laughing. Great medicine! The P.T. and O T. dept. were very protective and caring of my needs, and provided great therapy. Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy are very important during those first few days. It's what prepares you to continue with outpatient physical therapy. The nurses and CNA 'S were very attentive. I can't say enough about the excellent medical care I received for my total knee replacement. I wasn't able to return home the first day. I chose this hospital after my stroke because of all the good things I heard about it and I was not disappointed. The therapists are all the best and if you really want to recover and get your mobility back this is the only spot I will ever recommend whether it be after a surgery or a stroke, San Joaquin valley rehab is the only place to go. I can’t thank them enough for everything they did for me.

Is this really safe for anyone? Why is the entrance so dark during the winter? As a female I can see plenty of safety concern with it being so dimly light. For reference this is at 5pm. I don't see any security either as you walk up. Please do better SJVR. Sincerely a visitor 🤨
