Sam's Club Pharmacy

Worst pharmacy experience. My son’s doctor prescribed a large jar of ointment, but the Sam’s Club pharmacy told me my insurance wouldn’t cover the large size and instead gave me a small tube, advising me to request a refill once it ran out. When I called for a refill, I was told I would have to pay out of pocket because it was “too early” and insurance wouldn’t cover it. I contacted my insurance directly and was told the prescription for the large jar was approved from the beginning. This was very frustrating and misleading. I’m extremely disappointed with how this was handled.

I started using this pharmacy end July 2025 to take advantage of the free 30 days certain generic drugs and upgraded to plus. The medication was ready in 30 minutes while I shopped. Will update review in the next few months as I use the refill process. The savings compared with my local pharmacy through drug insurance and Sam’s club zero charge 30 days no insurance is more than sufficient to recoup the Sam’s club plus annual charges.
