I have been dealing with trying to get another injection to relieve pain I’m having in my thumb. Called the office 1/16/26 to make an appt. was told it takes 14 days for approval by insurance. Called insurance today 2-2 still didn’t receive request called dr office Nicole was so helpful but Amy wasn’t giving excuses why it hadn’t been sent low staff whatever. Now the pain is intense and Amy clearly doesn’t care n couldn’t give me a timeframe when she would get to it just more excuses .its sad when an American has to suffer with pain when we even have insurance. Side note I was yelling and she told me to stop n I send nope n she hung on me, real professional Amy

With a referral from my PCP I never was seen by a surgeon. I was given criteria to meet before I would be seen. Once I met the criteria, I was given new criteria to meet before I could hope to schedule an appointment. Then they ghosted me. After waiting for over 8 months I never did get an exam scheduled, although they did call with an offer to schedule an initial exam after I had my hip replacement performed by another surgeon outside Samaritan (1 month from initial exam to surgery).

I question the veracity of the good reviews of this clinic, all of which seem too scripted to be real and certainly not representative of the experience I had. After a week of trying to get my son's referral to this organization and being told time and time again they hadn't received it from the referring agency, having that agency double-up on the electronic send plus fax, still being told not received from this office, getting the referral myself from the urgent care facility and faxing myself, still being told not received while I am literally looking at the fax confirmations and verifying the fax number and being told no it's not on our end because we're receiving faxes from other senders (but apparently not from me or the urgent care facility that also sent the referral numerous time

I’ve been waiting on a referral for nearly a month despite calling multiple times before December 22nd to follow up. I was later told the referral was finally submitted on the 22nd and is still “processing.” When I asked if I needed to be referred elsewhere, I was basically told to handle it myself. What makes this worse is that I have fractures in my knee and have been left to heal without surgery, treatment, or specialist care while this referral sits. I’m genuinely concerned about long-term damage from letting an injury like this go untreated for so long. There has been no communication, urgency, or accountability. Being left in limbo with an injury is unacceptable. If you come here, be prepared to chase your own referrals and advocate for yourself I am not willing to risk being perm

I highly recommend this office!! The medical and support staff are very helpful, very professional, extremely competent, and very kind. I have had 4 joint replacement surgeries which were done by Dr. Kelli Baum, and assisted by Tina Williamson, NP, at Samaritan Albany General Hospital. This hospital is in the upper 5% in the nation for joint replacement surgeries! Dr. Baum and Tina are very capably and kindly assisted by Kathryn, MA. My husband and I are so impressed by these medical professionals that he is now also going to have a hip replacement surgery, done by Dr. Baum, which will greatly improve his quality of life and his ability to further his career.
