Saint Vincent Hospital

The staff in room 310, including the secretary and the so-called department supervisor, were very rude. I asked for information, and they did not even check the patient’s record before sending me to another department. From the beginning, their attitude made it seem like they did not want to work or properly assist the patient. The supervisor, a blonde woman, did not even allow me to finish explaining the situation before directing me elsewhere. The lack of empathy and professionalism was very clear. I honestly do not understand how a hospital can have staff with this kind of attitude, especially in an environment where respect and patient care should be a priority.

Run! This place is abysmal. My loved one was there 5 days and eventhough I had authorization to speak with the care team, no one called me once or returned my many phone calls. I even was hung up on once when I asked who I was leaving a message with. I called the director of the department and she didn't return my call either. No communication! My loved one reports that the staff don't listen to their patients, they are rude, and they wake you up hourly through the night so you can't even sleep there. And, my loved one left worse off than when they came there. They are now having memory problems and are highly agitated, which was not the case when they were admitted. I couldn't have better things to say about a hospital. I've been going to Womans Wellness for 2 years now. The staff is warm and professional. I delivered my son there a week ago. The labor and delivery team was incredible. It's a calm atmosphere unlike UMASS. I feel like a person and not a burden when being treated there.

Guys it's getting worse by the day. Hospital hired a new cleaning company and there's less of them, trash is never emptied, floors get done with basically a swiffer, they barely clean the patient rooms between patients, dirty privacy curtains are not cleaned between patients even if they're on precautions. Food comes cold in all disposable containers. They're trying to get rid of the union secretaries..... Every unit used to have at least 1, some busy units had 2 and waiting room attendants.... Now they're making the nurses learn to function as secretaries and getting them log ins to stuff. There might be one secretary in the whole hospital at night, during the day it's probably 50% of units have one. I had an unplanned c section here on Friday and I can’t express enough how amazing the doctors and nurses here are. Dr amponsah made the experience as comfortable as possible for me, and the labor and delivery nurses and midwives are so so amazing. I’m never going to forget them and it’s bittersweet being my last day here. They took amazing care of my son and I. I trust this hospital with my life.
