I am writing to express my serious concerns regarding the quality of care, communication, and overall conditions at St. Elizabeth Rehabilitation Facility, where my father was recently a patient. Upon arrival, I immediately noticed that my father’s room was not clean. I personally had to purchase cleaning supplies and clean the room myself, as no staff members took the initiative to address the issue. Throughout his stay, it was apparent that many staff members were temporary or agency workers who often lacked attentiveness and consistency. Requests for assistance were frequently met with delays or resistance. Each time I visited, my father’s Foley catheter was full, and I had to empty it myself due to staff neglect. Absolutely terrible terrible! Nurses ignored my mother for hours at a time and wouldn’t take her to the bathroom. My mom was a fall risk, and thr nurse had her stand up alone while she fixed the best abd of course my mom fell resulting in terrible purple bruises on her whole entire left side of her body from her head to her ankles! EXTREMELY NEGLECTFUL, NURSING STAFF IS INCOMPETENT AND NEGLECTFUL! NOT JUST TO MY MOTHER BUT TO HER ROOM MATE AND EVERY PERSON ON THE UNIT! Disgraceful place! I would t send my worst enemy here

If you care for your lived one, DO NOT use any iteration of St. Elizabeth's. My mom was there and she was not ASSISTED. Her room was unkempt and she was basically ignored until her money wss gone and they kicked her out. Without proof, they said she had Alzheimer's, which once I got her to a proper facility was found to be untrue. Dementia was the actual diagnosis, well documented and treated by the angels at St Clare's in Newport. St. Elizabeth's is an abomination!

I recently was a patient at St Elizabeth for 10 days. While no one ever expects to stay at a rehab center. I must say it was a very Pleasant stay. The staff, nurse's, CNA Therapist, house keeping all made it a very comfortable and a relaxing stay. Very home Orientated. I never heard one Individual say anything Negative about their job or the facility. Very clean, everyone you talked to during either day or night shift always asked if they could do anything or get anything to make my stay very enjoyable. I would recommend St Elizabeth to anyone who has to Rehab.either for short term or extended stay

My husband was in The Hill....after a fall. He was there from the middle of December, 2024 until June 4, 2025 when he passed. The care he received was exceptional from the Nursing Staff, the CNAs and the PT and OT Therapists.
