Sage Dental of Dunnellon

Had a dental emergency and Sage Dental of Dunnellon took good care of me. They were able to schedule me quickly and it was super easy to get the paperwork completed before I arrived. The wait in the dentist chair was reasonable considering they made time in their completely booked up day. Everything was painless and very professional.

Not the greatest visit to be honest. I was there and another person would came in. Girl told us about to sit down. They called on the guy first and I sat there. The specialist was kind of evasive on questions I was asking him they told me prior to me even seeing them that I owed over $400, on my first visit. Then Vaguely told me two options of treatment but that I should talk to my dentist so.... .lol prior to me going I had my general dentist send over X-rays and perio charts to Sage Dental so they would have all of my records they could view. And the specialist assistant says that they did not receive anything from my general dentist. I then after my visit called My previous dentist and the girl said most definitely they did. They sent X-rays over February 10th and the period chart on F

Dental hygienists have all been very kind, pleasant and informative. They’ve had a lot of doctor changeovers in past 3 years, despite, all but 1 have seemed very knowledgeable, professional and thorough. Management fails to return calls when they say they will. If you’re expecting a warm welcome from the office staff or management forget it. Front office staff doesn’t even turn around when you walk in. Not until you sign your name on the form do they acknowledge you by saying “name” and that’s the most you’re gonna get out of them until it’s time to pay- at least she said “thank you”. If I had issues with my teeth or needed more care than routine cleanings, I’d go somewhere else for sure. 10 stars to my hygienists, -7 stars to office staff/management = 3 stars overall.

This review is not a complaint about the actual dentist. He did a good job. I’m not happy about their billing. I have good insurance. I called to make an appointment. They said can you come in tomorrow and I said yes. When I got to the office they charged me $127 for an emergency visit. That was not disclosed prior. Then when in the chair they told me one price then charged me significantly more at check out. They called me a little later and said we made a mistake and refunded me some money. There is nothing worse than a bait and switch. I would not trust them in the future and don’t plan to return.

Scheduled an appt for root canal for one tooth here. I had never had one before, so I was a little worried as I had only ever heard bad things. Dr. Garcia was outstanding, patient and very efficient. He was done in roughly 30 minutes. I had ZERO pain, will definitely return for other services in the future. NO this is not an autogenerated review or by someone in the office to write this, Highly recommend.
