Safeway Pharmacy

Incredibly disappointed in the service that has been provided at this pharmacy, mostly in the last couple of couple years. I have been dealing with a back injury requiring pain medications. Dave, one of the pharmacists there and some of the others have had poor communications, they do not alert or notify you if there is any issue filling a prescription. They have told me in the past that I could not use GoodRx if I have insurance - that is Safeway policy, they just could not fill the prescription if the insurance company was not able to fill it for some reason. However I have used GoodRx at this safeway pharmacy in the past. They do not communicate when the prescription is ready to be picked up. They would say it would be ready on Monday, then on Monday say it will be in a few day

As a frequent recipient of prescription medications, I must strongly recommend this pharmacy, whose competent and helpful staff must rank among the foremost practitioners of their craft in the county, if not all of Central Washington. An extraordinarily well-organized business.

Pharmacist Dave took time away from his busy duties to administer a flu vaccine shot. Everything was great and honestly, I never felt the shot. He did an excellent job. I recommend everyone go to Safeway pharmacy on Summitview for their flu shot.

They are very well equipped and staffed with competent employees. Super fast fillings and pharmacist knows what vaccines you would need. 100% trust in what they do. -Garcia M.

Exceedingly poor service, has markedly declined from when I first started with this pharmacy. Major turnover in pharmacists and staff. Some are competent, others horribly incompetent. So it is luck of draw who you get. One lied to me about Medicare coverage, charged when shouldn’t have and when pursued I paid nothing. Communication is horrible, they don’t keep the app for refills updated or send notifications when prescriptions are ready. They rarely, if ever, answer the phone. Hence, unnecessary trips to the store, long wait in line to be told it will be ready in 2hrs. I have transferred to another pharmacy with a drive thru window, as well as, excellent and efficient communication regarding my prescriptions. Happy I made the change.
