Safeway Pharmacy

The pharmacists are exceptionally helpful and have a genuine desire to provide good customer service. They will come out of the work area to assist customers with their inquired items. Very impressive.

I've been going to this pharmacy with my grandparents and family since I could practically walk, and it's only gotten better over time. The pharmacists are always extremely friendly and knowledgeable, and I've never had a single issue without it being resolved almost immediately. I'm deathly afraid of needles, and every single time I go to get a vaccine here, the pharmacists and techs always go above and beyond to help me feel comfortable and safe. I haven't been to a single other pharmacy that does it as well as this one does. 10/10 would recommend every time! I recently moved and am no longer close to my old pharmacy so have been trying to transfer my prescription, I initiated a transfer request online and got a text message saying they would call if any problems occurred. When it was time to refill my prescription, I called the Safeway pharmacy and they had never received a request for a transfer even though I used the Safeway website and received a confirmation text. They then manually initiated a transfer and said it should all be taken care of by end of day. I call the next business day and ask for the prescription to be filled and they tell me my old pharmacy never sent the information over even though I had called my old pharmacy and confirmed the prescription was transferred. The substitute pharmacist was not helpful at all she should have got the antibiotics right away and order them or get them from another place. It was very important for me to get those antibiotics fast. She didn’t care. Please send her elsewhere. The regular pharmacist there goes above and behind to help customers. He was on vacation

Been shopping here and pharmacy for over 10 years. Really appreciate the grocery organization, website, and discounts. Not sure why so much turnover in pharmacy employees as it's nice to deal with the familiar in this department. Lately the current pharmacy staff has made it difficult when I ask them to check alternative insurance coverage my family has to ensure we are getting the most economical coverage. Like they don't have time for this...to simply key in the options. Maybe they should update their software to do this automatically or just train employees to do this without reservations or conflict [because Rx are expensive and most people want to reduce their expenses by checking all options].
