Safeway Pharmacy

Would give negative stars if I could. Had an awful experience trying to transfer my son's prescription here. Had to make multiple calls to jump through hoops no other pharmacy had ever asked for. They tried to end each phone call without actually helping or checking their systems to see if I'd already done what they asked. Wasted two days playing middleman between them and the doctor's office, just to end up transferring the prescription elsewhere. What an utter nightmare. Tip: the CA Board of Pharmacy is the next level up if you want to see any real change.

They are fast and friendly. My prescriptions is always ready before I need a refill.

Worst layout. They put the line down one of the isles so you're constantly having to move around people. They even demand you sign your name on the electronic signature device that is covered with thick layers of human fluids which gives you a greasy almost Vaseline like feeling in your hand after touching it. They don't clean their facilities, very gross and covered in every germ sick people come there with. The window is always covered in thick smudges and what looks like sneeze and coughing debris that has been caked on for months. Very gross and unhealthy. The pharmacy workers will shut the entire dept down for lunch even if you've been waiting in line for 45 minutes or more. No respect for privacy, and no respect for their customers. This pharmacy is so backed up all the time. Sometimes line is all the way back to the front of the store. So sick of this. Nice people but they need more help to keep the lines moving when customers are backed up like this.

Worst pharmacy I’ve ever had to deal with. They lack the slightest intelligence, customer service skills, and timeliness. They’ve allowed my dog’s medications run out on multiple occasions despite receiving multiple notices in advance, and never answer their phone despite calling multiple times per day. They also continue to refill medications that are no longer prescribed and fail to update any information despite being told multiple times. If zero or negative stars were an option, I’d give them one of those instead.
