Safeway Pharmacy

I know one star reviews come off as “Crazy” but I have to say: “Go anywhere for your prescriptions but Safeway”! Dropped off on a Monday. Got “computer issues” lip service and told to try again. Called and was given the same excuse. Was told to have my Dr. send a new prescription. I did. Returned on a Saturday (five days after dropping off empty meds) and was told the prescription would be ready by Wednesday. Got a text from Safeway saying the meds were ready. Went in and started back at square one. All I can say is: “I get the message”! Time to move on.

I came to pick up prescriptions for my daughter who just had surgery and is about to be released from the hospital. I was told come back in about 10 mins it should be ready. 9 minutes later I came back to find the window coverings down the pharmacy is closed. No sign letting me know when it will reopen. 5 minutes later a pharmacist opened the window a crack to put out a sign that said it would reopen in 30 minutes. I came closer to read the sign and he rudely yelled out “ we reopen at 2” he shut the window and walked away. I am now standing out front for 30 minutes because they already have my prescription in there. Someone should have mentioned they closed when I gave them the paperwork.

My meds are always ready for me to pick up when I come in, prices are much lower than most pharmacies in town, and service is friendly and prompt. Zero complaints. 👍

I was recently evacuated from my home in Colton, Oregon due to fire. I ended up in the Hood River area and needed to have prescriptions filled for both me and my granddaughter. The Safeway pharmacy there bent over backwards to accommodate our needs. The pharmacist even stayed past closing to fill one prescription of antibiotics that were needed for my granddaughter. I have found the service at the Safeway pharmacy to be excellent. I really appreciate the courteous attention , good information on the status of my prescriptions and the willingness to get prescriptions ready promptly when the need arises.
