Safeway Pharmacy

I got tamflu sent to Safeway by my doctor after being diagnosed with the flu. I’ve had symptoms for 3 days and my doctor told me to take it today or it wouldn’t work. I got an email from my doctor confirming the prescription. Safeway lady said it’s just not in their system. It hurts horribly to talk, I feel like crap and this lady was short with me and subpar at her job. I asked her when and if I should call back because they close at 4pm today and it’s 2:30 and she just said “I guess.” Fr? Aren’t you a pharmacist? Isn’t it your job to know about the effectiveness of medication being taken early on in the cycle? I feel like I won’t get my meds and will just have to ride this out because of them. Do better.

Great prices. Switched from Walgreens. They always put their discount card on there if not covered by insurance without having to be asked. Texts are great and tells you the price. They’re very on top of things and are very kind and quick!

The older I get the more medications I get. I do really like their pharmacy staff and everything's ready when I need it.

@gregwarbo - Your review is EXACTLY what mine would say!!! I am also a long time customer with, what I consider, a complicated regiment of meds. Aaron is absolutely the best as well as Amber and others!! It is such a a comfort to have understanding and kindness. Thank you all so much for taking such great care of us all. Unfortunately, as others have said, this pharmacy DOES experience shortages. That said, I do not believe this to be the fault of the staff or Pharmacy Mgr. Aaron. I feel like he and his staff are acutely aware of the needs of the "regular" customers and their maintenance meds. I have been going here for at least 8 years. And I have seen the Staff come and go. Managers and techs alike. The one constant has been Aaron through it all. He knows his customers, his techs, and staff very well. And he treats us all graciously. He says hi to me every time I see him, he knows who it is when I call, he knows my complicated setup (involving meds constantly under scrutiny), and he treats me respectfully and not like some sort of crazy person. Further, he UNDERSTANDS!!! I have had some scripts filled
