Safeway Pharmacy

Safeway pharmacy is in my neighborhood but today I decided not to use their services anymore. One particular lady, answered my call when I was inquiring about my medications for COVID. She told me my insurance was not covering my medication and it might be true because that insurance has been a headache for my coworkers and myself, but this woman was so rude, constantly cutting me off and telling me "OK,OK,OK I heard you, calm down", when I was just telling her my husband would go pick it up and pay for the script because I'm very sick with COVID. Never again. It's a putty because Safeway in general, as a store is very good, but the pharmacy is another story. My trip to Safeway today was excellent. I needed help finding a specific brand of milk, and a staff member walked me right to it. The store had a great selection of everything, from pantry essentials to fresh produce. The quality of their bakery products was especially impressive—everything looked so fresh and delicious. I also love the value I get from their weekly sales and reward discounts. It’s always a pleasant shopping experience, and I feel like I’m getting my money’s worth every time I visit. Highly recommend Safeway for anyone looking for quality and great service!

Ditto to all the "worst pharmacy" reviews! Their Internet site is a joke and hard to maneuver. On the phone, it's either ON HOLD and they hang up on you or you just sit on hold and no one ever gets back to you. Customer service with the one pharmacist (?) who is at the window is poor. She should take a course in how to deal with the public! Today is Memorial Day and I called before I left for the store to check if they were open, was put on hold, and then nothing. So I went to the store to get my prescription and the pharmacy was closed. There was no notice anywhere stating that they would be closed. Safeway was open, the pharmacy is IN Safeway, one would suppose that what was part of Safeway would be open, too. Silly me. Go elsewhere!!

Most of the people working here are wonderful. If it was only for them I would happily give 5 stars. One woman however caused a lot of harm to my cat because she couldn't admit that she didn't know what she needed to do to fill her prescription. I dropped the prescription off on a Thursday they didn't get to it until after my vet was closed for the weekend. She called me and repeatedly stated she couldn't fill the prescription because it was wrong. I told her my cat was very sick and a delay like this was dangerous. She said she needed to talk to my vet before she could fill it. I told her the vet wouldn't be open until Monday. It's something they don't keep in stock so I asked if she could order it so it would be ready on Monday. She kept repeating the prescription was wrong. I asked her

Worst pharmacy in Chico. They NEVER answer the phone. Two years after I told them to renew all my prescriptions automatically, only one of five is automatic. They NEVER get the prescriptions into the phatmacy in a timely fashion. The staff is EXTREMELY SLOW. Time to be waited on is completely unacceptable. I am switching pharmacies and advising our insurance agent to steer people anywhere else.
