Ruskin Health Center - Suncoast Community Health Centers

The new Suncoast Community Health Center in Ruskin looks great - clean, bright, and very comfortable. The atmosphere feels welcoming, and I really liked the little coffee station with friendly staff. Parking is big and convenient, with plenty of handicap spots, although they tend to fill up during busy hours. The pharmacy on site (and the drive-thru!) is super handy, and the staff overall are kind, helpful, and professional. Wait times are much better than they used to be at the old location, though sometimes things still take longer than expected - especially when it comes to lab work or blood draws. This review is for the women's care clinic. The worst service ever. My wife and I arrived to the Clinic at 1:50 and they didn't want to take her because they said she was supposed to arrive to the clinic at 1:45 eventhough her appointment was at 2. We explained that we tried coming on time but we couldn't because of traffic since there was construction on the road but still they didn't want to take her. The front office lady was very rude talking to us. She spoke to us as if she owned the place! They didn't take us eventhough there was no more patients in the clinic. I would stay away from clinics like this with no integrity or sympathy for people.

The providers are nice but the wait time is horrible. Not to mention the followe up appointment that is required every 3 months includes bloodwork one week prior and the lab orders are never in the chart on arrival. I've been waiting over an hour so that both my disabled parents can be seen by a nurse just so she can request a provider to sign off on the lab orders. This is not the first time this has happened and I'm honestly over it. I also have a restless toddler that I have to deal with and things would run much smoother if things we're done right the first time.

Guys, I understand that you are very busy and doing important work. But I have a huge request to ask of you - please do not make appointments for people at 9 am when you actually see them at 12 noon! We also have work and plans for the day and we expect that you will see us at least at 9:30 - 10, but not at 12! As soon as you correct this situation, I will correct my review to a better one, because this clinic is really good and nice staff. But a constant situation with a wait of 3 - 4 hours is not normal! Thank you!

Ruskin Health Center is my go-to place for all my healthcare needs. It's a true one-stop-shop for medical care in the Ruskin area. They have doctors, an optometrist, a dentist, and even a pharmacy and lab work all in one convenient location. In my experience, the doctors are truly excellent. They are not only friendly but also genuinely care about their patients, and it really shows in the quality of their care. The entire staff is friendly and helpful as well. I appreciate that they accept most insurance plans, which makes it my primary choice for health services. I don't see any reason to go anywhere else unless a specialist is required. Even then, they make the process easy; when I needed a specialist, they worked directly with Tampa General to handle all the referral work. I highly rec
