I visited this facility before we made the decision to have my family member transferred. I had a nice visit where I was told the patient to nurse ratio was a maximum 1:5 but most likely 1:4. Once my brother in law transferred I find out the nurse has6-8 patients. He is there for ventilator weaning and when his sats drop the CNA paged the nurse and no came for 2.5 hours. On the day of transfer once the physician to physician and Rn to RN report was done the paper chart was lost and found 2 days later in a security guard desk. My family member has been there for 4 days now he is never turned (apparently he has a mattress that has enough air flow) and the only person rotating the boots is who is there visiting. I’m not sure what is going to happen this feels like my brother in law is regres

My husband was just transferred here today. I am very impressed with the cleanliness, professionalism, and care that the staff provide to the patients. I also met the staff who will be caring for him and the CEO of the hospital, who was very friendly and helpful. He took the time to find me a recliner, so that I can stay overnight. Overall, my first impression is very positive. LaDonna Logwood This is going on day 24 and I still praise the care that he is receiving. All of the nurses, Case Manage, Pt, OT, and CNA's are professional and caring. I really thank Cassandra the Case manger for working with us. She is very dedicated and caring. She answered all of my concerns. Thank you to the staff at Rush Specialty Hospital.

Going to the ER is already scary. No one chooses to be sick, no one wants to be sick. I was already hesitant to go to the hospital but having dizziness, shortness of breath, low oxygen levels, and a high blood pressure reading is worrisome. I felt confident that I would get the care I needed at one of the finest hospitals in Chicago. I was really wrong!!! I got triage a little after 9am and placed in the waiting area for 5+ hours and when I finally asked for an update, all I was told by the nurse at registration was, that while I have been waiting the longest, there are people more sick than I am coming in. I literally wanted to cry to know that my health can just be dismissed so easily. While it's understandable that other people are sick to, where is the level of care that I deserve? Why

My husband was admitted to this facility after a brain surgery from an aneurism and stroke. After 3 weeks, he went home with complete use of his limbs, which were still a little weak but were able to use them. He can talk better, but he just has some confusion, but God will take care of that. The staff was phenomenal. I couldn't have asked for a better staff they showed him so much love, and he truly loved them as well .I would recommend Rush Specialty Rehabilitation Hospital to anyone to take care of their loved ones.Thank you all for your love and support not only for my husband but also for the love you all showed me as well. God bless you all

I recently had a love one at this facility and the experience we had was wonderful. They weaned her off the ventilator and oxygen which was a great achievement for the amount of time she was there. All the nurses we dealt with was very professional and caring about our family member. I can't speak for the bad reviews but my family was completely satisfied with the services rendered at this facility.
