RRH Family Medicine - Honeoye Valley

I have to share... This office is GREAT! If you get discouraged bc you have to work with a different doctor or a PA, don't be! They all work together and your doctor is well informed on what is going on with you. Like everyone, they are just stretched too thin. I had several calls from Nurse Jen and PA Alexi (who in fact knew to send me for scans in the first place) to calm my nerves after an incidental finding and when I had my visit, Dr. E went through every single detail of the scan and explained it all ! Who does that? She does/did!!! They put me at ease and shared their medical expertise so well to me! I would not want to go anywhere else!!!

I used to be happy with this practice I had been with them for over 30 yrs. Things have changed for the worst. They say they send referral and I get to appt and they never sent it and they cop an attitude with the provider. I’m now waiting for over 46 min to have a dexa scan because they never sent it. I’m very disappointed in practice. Plus the practice had a new Dr and after 55 min in room I went to front and asked where is he, There was not one person I recognized all new

I'm not a patient, but my family is and I've attended to support them several times. Dr. Pica is great, knowledgeable and thorough. He is more up front and all about the facts than many people may like, however. If you need more emotional support, you would be best served with a different provider as this is not a strong suit of his. I wouldn't call it a detriment, just a personality quirk that may not mesh with all types of patients. He enjoys engaging in clinical dialogue, and I appreciate that especially as it increases your understanding of your health! Dr. Ohira is newer to the practice and I have generally positive things to say. My husband and I joined the practice roughly two years ago and our 1 year old son is also a patient now. We have always thought so very highly of Dr. Ohira. He is very knowledgeable and cares for the well being of his patients. He has gone above and beyond for my family anytime we need something. Today, on CHRISTMAS EVE he hand delivered a nebulizer to my home for our sick son. This takes the cake. I have spoken only great things of him any chance I get but I felt I needed to share our experience for others to see. 10/10 recommend!!!!!!

Our family has been with this practice, and Dr. Picca for over 15 years. We are very happy with Dr. Picca. Prior to the RRH acquisition, we were happy with the entire staff as well. However, since the practice has been acquired by Rochester Regional, the front desk and support staff & nursing has gone way down hill. We feel like a number, rather than a human. In fact, it's rare that anyone makes eye contact and welcomes you.....until Dr. Picca comes in the room. Truly wish it was still a small, local family practice. We miss the level of care and respect as patients and human beings. Rochester Regional....if you'd like to stand apart from the norm, I suggest you train your staff on customer service and/or start treating them well, so that they start treating us well.
