I hesitate to give higher than 3 stars. I found Dr Patel when I first moved to Chicago. I needed a new dentist and had to get some work done. After a year being their patient, I switched due to insurance changes. Pros: - clean, friendly, and inviting environment. - work has held up so far, and it seemed to be both aesthetically pleasing, and durable. - they have a high-tech office and can do most procedures in house. - GREAT with patients that have dental anxiety. Cons: - the fillings I got done were troublesome in the first few weeks. She drilled more than what was necessary according to my new dentist. - they can tend to upsell procedures and fixes. I wish I had gotten a second opinion first and compared costs. - Dr Patel is quick with her work. So far no issues, but it caused me to w

Genuinely one of the worst experiences I have ever had with a dentist. I cannot recommend not going here enough. They're a drill-happy organization that is just looking for money. I got cavities filled from this dentist and have had issues with the side of my mouth that was worked on for over 12 months at this point. First, they never gave me a quote for the fillings which is just conniving behavior. After not being able to eat on that side of my mouth and experiencing extreme sensitivity a month after the procedure, I was dismissed and not treated. One week later, my filling fell out while brushing my teeth. When I requested to have it refilled they initially scheduled me a full week out. A gaping hole in my tooth for a week. Awesome. I went to Dr. Patel with a perfect dental history two years ago — I had never had a cavity in my life. Being told I suddenly needed two fillings was shocking, but I trusted her professional judgment. That trust was a mistake. After the procedure, I was left with constant pain on my left side and could no longer chew normally. What was supposed to be routine dental work has significantly impacted my daily life. I returned three separate times for adjustments to what felt like an excessively large filling. Been a patient here for 4 or so years, Dr. Patel and her staff go above and beyond. I was called Dr. Patel on a Saturday when she was not working for her when I was having severe tooth pain, she was able to walk me through what to do. She’s always surpassed expectations and has been thorough and kind. Her Hygeniest are so nice.

I previously went to Rooted and overall thought the office staff was great. Unfortunately I'm finding that I've had a lot of dental issues in the following years, and have been told more than once this is likely a result of too much work being completed too quickly, with not enough x-rays and time elapsed to truly know if it was all necessary. I had an appointment for fillings and ended up with terrible TMJ issues after that have persisted for years. My jaw was shaking by the time we called it quits. I thought this was all normal, but I was a little naive. Had to go through lots of PT as a result and still occasionally have to schedule dry needling. This was never a major issue for me prior. A lot of my fillings, which are <5 years old have already had to be replaced as well. While they ar
