I’ve been seeing Dr. Michalak for the better half of a decade. I was injured at a young age and discovered underlying knee issues and he has been amazing at helping me recover and prevent future injuries. Dr Michalak encouraged rehab over surgery, and it has truly changed my life and given me so much stability to prioritize PT and braces.

Dr. Michalak is an amazing surgeon and human being. He’s been keeping me mobile and active for years, and always recommends exercise and/or other therapies before resorting to surgery. I went to him over 10 years ago, thinking I needed rotator cuff surgery. He gave me a series of exercises to try instead, and that has kept me able to use my shoulder ever since. He gave me a hip replacement that is so solid I have been able to resume my serious yoga practice. I can’t imagine that there are many other surgeons who would listen so carefully to my needs and wishes and then be so skillful at keeping me going forward. —Mark Reynolds

Dr. Michalak has successfully performed bilateral total hip replacement for me. I need clarification on EVERYTHING to fully understand my options and how to proceed for my optimal health/wellness. Pre and post-op, Dr. Michalak patiently and intently listened to all of my questions and answered each with facts, concise explanations and compassion. I always felt heard, supported and like the best outcome for me was important to him…not good results just to boost his stats.
