The short version: It took over 6 hours for 5 stitches. The wait time is the BIGGEST issue for sure. It seemed linked to lack of patient prioritizing. The long version: Came in with a 1 inch gash needing stitches. It wasn’t that serious but when it happened some small plastic pieces from what I was cutting got in the wound and needed to be taken out. I fully expected 4 hour wait as that is typically for a RI emergency room. At 12:30pm I asked the check-in nurse if realistically should I go to RI hospital if you are to overwhelmed here to which he said “they are even slower then we are.” So I waited. 5.5 hours later I get into the ER from the waiting room and in an ER chair waiting for a nurse or doctor. 45 minutes after that, a nurse comes and looks at the wound and says “oh that’s deep
Horrible experience in the ER with a provider by the name of Ashley. I went in because I’m having severe back pain and she wrote me off with one look. She went to touch my back and I flinched and she said that she was going to give me muscle relaxers and lidocaine patches both of which I have since I have issues with my spine. I asked her if she was going to examine me and she no, you didn’t fall so you didn’t break anything. She was rude and insensitive! I am now leaving to due her unprofessional behavior and I will come back in the morning to hopefully have a much better encounter with a provider. I informed her that my orthopedic told me come here if it became severe, when I walk there’s pain in my lumbar. She has already dismissed me, my concerns and my valid reasons for being here, th
I've never written a review but after what I experienced and witnessed today I have to. The wait time was long which I understand but what I don't understand is the rudeness. I asked the nurse behind the glass for a throw up bag and she rudely said I can't talk to you I'm doing something, only needed a bag luckily the security guard gave me one, then my boyfriend was denied a wheelchair, nurses stated "he didn't need one" he ended up collapsing. There were many other rude remarks made to us throughout our visit. My boyfriend was denied water and then told later in the night he was severely dehydrated. There was a patient in the room next to us having multiple seizures and nurses were laughing and joking about it at his doorway after helping him. The only decent people here is the lady taki
Treated my mother like absolute garbage. Refused her primary's directions and Fatima's ER doctors. VERY CLEAR DIRECTIONS from multiple doctors to follow-up with Oncology. They instead dump her on a resident with zero people skills and refuse for Oncology to see her. Rude, unprofessional, disorganized, and not who you want to save your life. I'm absolutely livid that I found out about the circumstances after she was discharged, but this hospital will be hearing from the AG, someone is going to lose their job. If the matter isn't rectified soon, the names of the doctors will be posted
My daughter went to this hospital 12/23/25 and 12/25/25 with headache pressure and consistent vomiting with racing heart beat and extreme high blood pressure. She was told first night after only seeing doctor for 5 minutes that it was a UTI. She returned on 12/25/25 by ambulance with pain 2x worse and was put in a chair to wait to be seen. She was constantly going to the bathroom to vomit and collapsed and was told by a nurse to get off the floor and get in the wheelchair to be put back in the corner in waiting room. She waited 6 hours and was never seen or checked on and her blood pressure was very high and heartrate was extremely fast. She walked out to go to RIH to go be seen and nurse at windows said 'Well there is nothing we can do if we don't have beds in the back' Very bad hospital
