I took my mom to see Dr. Smith because she was having vision issues, and from the very first visit he was incredibly kind, patient, and knowledgeable. He explained everything so clearly and made us both feel comfortable. My mom ended up needing cataract surgery in both eyes, and even though I was more nervous than she was, the entire process from surgery to recovery went amazingly smooth. My mom kept mentioning how comfortable, painless, and quick the surgery was. The whole team was so nice and helpful, and they answered every single one of my (anxious) questions without hesitation. Dr. Smith also detected an issue that her previous doctors never mentioned, and thanks to him she’s now getting the right medication and has it under control. My eye care visit with Dr. Smith was fantastic. He and his assistant performed all the eye tests you would imagine but took the time to explain the tests and results. He even forwarded general health observations from his examination on to my primary care physician for follow up action. Absolutely great patient care..!

Dr. Smith is a good and clearly competent ophthalmologist. His exams are thorough and complete. BUT you will end up spending a LOT more by going to him. He adds on a bunch of extra charges for everything—getting a glasses prescription, getting a contact prescription, etc. He tells you need to get contacts through him and charges 5 times what Costco does allegedly because he “fits” them. ($259 vs $60) But every cheap optometrist does this as part of the service. And he never fits them—his assistant just hands them to you. You will likely have to go back for additional appointments, which also cost more. Worst of all, he and his team don’t listen. They screwed up my contact prescription repeatedly the first time and now have done it again with my most recent order. So my advice: fin

Definitely felt rushed by the assistant and doctor. Things were not really explained properly and I had to ask several questions. I understand doctors, nurses and medical assistants see many patients daily but please keep in mind that if a person is in your office typically they have a genuine concern. Please treat them kindly and have some compassion/sympathy for them. Thanks!☺️

Dr Smith and his staff are all very kind & personable! I have been seeing him for many years & I have always felt like I was in good hands! I have had some weird conditions with my eyes & Dr. Smith always knows just what to do . I trust him completely & will gladly refer everyone to him!!
