I have had a hip replacement done by Dr. Balkissoon back in 2018, and last Monday, (05/08/23), I had to have full knee replacement. Dr. Balkissoon takes the time to talk with you Pre-surgery, and thoroughly explains everything you'll experience from beginning to end. He does both worse case and best case scenario with us ( his patients). He also is professional, courteous, compassionate, and you feel like he is a family member of yours. Dr. Balkissoon is the best! My mom has been through a lot the last 2 years and on top of breast cancer, an unexpected open heart surgery, emergency colon surgery and other issues related to that; she needed to have Dr. Balkissoon replace her hip and also replace a failed knee replacement. He was very thorough, conservative and extremely compassionate. He really took the time to explain EVERYTHING to us and answer all of our questions. He was just awesome! We always recommend him every chance we get.

Dr. Balkisson is an incredible surgeon. He performed hip replacement surgery on both of my hips. Very professional, personable and a great bedside manner. Judy and other staff members were always helpful and supportive, which is very important post-op. The results speak volumes, a complete recovery and no pain whatsoever. I would highly recommend him as well as his great staff members, for any type of Orthopaedic procedure.

Dr. Balkissoon is an excellent doctor who treats patients with dignity and listens to their concerns and what they want for their treatment. 10 years ago another doctor in a midwestern city told me I should have knee surgery. which I refused because of our home that had many stairs. We moved to the Rochester area and I started seeing Dr. Balkissoon for my arthritic knees. He told me a decision to have surgery was mine and that I could have injections to see how that would benefit me. It has been great. No knee surgery and I am still able to garden! Hurray!
