Rietow Family Dentistry (Formerly Gillum Dentistry)

I have never had a better experience than I did at Rietow Family Dentistry. I had been having severe pain in my gums and had gone to two emergency dentist with no luck. Rietow was able to see me same day! Everyone was so incredibly nice, and I was able to be seen quickly. The doctor explained everything from their plan of treatment and follow up. I was able to get a prescription and follow up appointment on the books. I am so happy and grateful.

Awesome clinical staff and administration! Rietow, not so good. I will not be going back after years of being a patient with great Doctor Gillum, who retired and sold the practice to Rietow. I had a dental issue 48 hours prior to leaving on vacation. I waited 12.5 hours for a call-back/text-back that I made on a Friday @ 8:00 am to the “Emergency Voicemail.” Fortunately, I was able to have my issue resolved elsewhere. I feel that waiting over 12 hours for a response from your long term, primary dentist, or his representative, is unreasonable and has little regard for his patient. This is my first non 5-Star review and I’m sorry that I have to give such a low one, but in this case, Joe earned it.

I have been a patient of Dr. Gillum for a few years. The staff is always nice and receptive. This is a very clean facility with comfortable chairs. Each room has a flat screen TV. The hygienists are polite but still can get down to the dirty and really get in there if you want them too. Dr. Gillum is very efficient at his craft. They offer many other services that I have not taken part in. I would recommend Dr. Gillum to family or friends for sure. Update 11 Years Later Now Rietow. 5 Stars. Everything is still great. Dr. Rietow is funny and good at his craft. When Dr. Gillum retired, I was nervous about the changes; however, the staff all stayed and the atmosphere is still AWESOME. Thanks!

I have gone to Dr. Gillum since I was 2 years old. There is not a single bad thing I could say about his practice. He has a heart of gold, a beautiful family that he is so proud of, they ALL treat me like family. The ladies that work along side with him brighten my day. They are all so uplifting and wonderful ladies. I ALWAYS recommend Dr. Gillum! Unfortunately, I had to change insurance providers so I haven’t been able to see him in a while. When you try other dentist, it makes me even more thankful for him. I heard recently that he is retiring now. I will be so sad to see him go. He’s been an amazing dentist to me and my family, and my parents for close to 40 years. You will be missed Dr. Gillum! Thank you for all the great memories and service!

Dr. Gillum and his staff are attentive and act as perfectionists! I love that the staff is friendly and that the office is exceptionally clean. I have dental anxiety and they helped ease that at my appointments. I chipped a tooth and Dr. Gillum was quick to get me in and ensure that it matched perfectly. There was no rush, he ensured that it was done correctly. He’s been recommended by family and friends and I will also continue to recommend this office as well.
