Ridgecrest Retirement and Healthcare

The staff is phenomenal. The D O Nis in charge and keeps the tight ship. The c n a 's are all very sweet and compassionate and on point. They know their assigned tasks and do them very well. I totally recommend this place.Above all others. You will not be sorry if you come here.

Granted the staff were nice to my mother, they encouraged her to participate in group therapy and activities. My mom went in as 2nd choice for her stroke. Within a week she was oxygen dependent and developed bad diaper rash. They are extremely understaffed.....and they take a lot of cigarette breaks. One even left the premises and came back 30 minutes later. They are just run very differently than what we are accustomed to at our first choice rehab facility. My mother ended up breaking her hip. 2 days after surgery and starting in-patient rehab at the hospital she was off oxygen and her diaper rash cleared up quickly so that says a lot about Ridgecrest. I've been calling and trying to obtain her medical records and accident report for almost 3 weeks now at no avail. They keep on giving m

Absolutely horrible, smells like urine throughout the whole facility. My husband spent 5 nights in that place, and I will never put him in there again. Definitely don't recommend Ridgecrest for anyone, I found him in what I suppose is called a tv room,alone and sliding out of the wheelchair, I immediately started looking for an employee to get him back to his room. The staff yells and argues with patients. Terrible, horrible nursing home, should be inspected by the state.

Don’t send your loved ones here! My mother-in-law was here for rehab and to gain her strength to be able to walk again. First day, she was left in a wheelchair for over 3 hours, just sitting in her room. The nurse that was on shift claimed that she didn’t know what to do with her and proceeded to state how she was an ICU nurse and that this was her first and last day at Ridgecrest because they couldn’t afford her. She was extremely unprofessional and her lack of care, didn’t go unnoticed. The wait time from call button to someone coming in, is roughly 45 minutes. Mind you my mother-in-law had serious health conditions that required monitoring and appropriate care to ensure she remains as healthy as possible. The food is terrible and the new management cares more about new furniture and carpet rather than caring about the clients. The front doors are not secured at night. When emergency chains are pulled in rooms, the alarm dies not get answered right away. They also raised the rent over 50% today without 30 day notice. They fired a lot of staff in the past month and they are extremely understaffed. The Activities are lame and repetitive. My parents are moving out asap!
