I had 450 dollars of coverage and was forced to still pay out of pocket. I also do not like the doctors lack of professionalism. The doctor is rude, mentions that i have dirty eyes without even asking if i have allergies. Completely disregarding patient request is not a doctor move. Do not come here!!!!

Long story short… my visit at this office is what led me to seeking out LASIK surgery. My full thoughts: I do not recommend visiting this office. Dr. Swales is rude and condescending. He didn’t seem interested in my answers to his questions, interrupted me, complained that I was too quiet and he couldn’t hear me, and he was annoyed when I suggested that maybe there was a mistake during my exam and my prescription wasn’t right. Zero chance I’ll set foot in that office again. They wouldn’t even give me my prescription until I ordered my glasses through their office. That felt like a violation. My advice is to stay away and hopefully his patient population will dwindle away unless he just retires and the office closes.

I have used Dr. Swales for my eye care for many years. Dr. Swales is very thorough and professional with his eye exams. He has a wide selection of frames and his staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. I also really like how the office sticks to the appointment times. You don’t have to wait long to be seen and that is really nice. I would recommend this office for eye exams, glasses and contact lenses. I love the two way hinged frames I bought. Great Quality.

Went Swales a year and a half ago. I was out of pocket $25.00 for the eye exam, plus 35.00 for lenses, while having United health insurance. Swales received $500.00 from United health all my benefits for 2023 plus my $60.00 in cash. In March '24 I went to eye mart express with $400.00 worth of benefits for '24 and received eye exam and glasses for no out of pocket expenses. Swales was rude while I was taking eye exam saying "let me take control of this exam, I have been doing this for over 35 years" , when I asked him to to go back and forth on lenses. While picking out from the small selection of frames, I requested the bifocals to be lowered from 10mm down to 8mm (so the bifocal line would not be in the middle of my vision) Swales came over and said if bifocals are any lower, I wou

I went to this Dr in August 2017, and I wasted my money there. I paid $709 for eye exam and glasses. When I told the eye specialist I wanted smaller glasses she denied my request. The Dr took pictures of my eyes and said he did not know what was wrong with my glasses. I also received defective frames twice. I was not able to see. This Dr used eye prescriptions from 10+ years prior. He tried to charge me for another exam. The sad part is that I was referred to him. I would not recommend anybody to this Dr.
