Rice Pet Clinic & Hospital

Shout out to Regina and Dr. Bowes at Rice Pet Clinic for a wonderful client experience today with our Newfoundland/German Shepard Mix rescue dog, Sadie! They presented me with many options and recommendations for Sadie's health and listened to/respected my concerns and choices for Sadie's care. This is hands down the best vet experience we have had. I highly recommend if you want a team that supports shared decisions.

We started taking our pup to Rice pet clinic when he was very ill. We learned he had Blastomycosis which is a very rare and highly fatal fungal infection. The vets and staff at Rice Pet Clinic were so patient and kind through the whole process. We’ve worked primarily with Dr. Jason who did not make me feel forced into any tests or procedures along the way. Instead he provided his recommendations and listened when I forward with recommendations that I had found based on my own research and help through a support group. We took each step together. It’s been almost a year of bringing our pup in every 1-2 months or so for labs and he’s almost in the clear! Thank you so much Dr. Jason and team!

I am not a regular patron of this clinic but became introduced to them after my cat was hit by a car and taken to their hospital. We ended up losing our cat as his injuries were too grave. I cannot say enough good things about the care that our cat and us received on that fateful day and even afterwards. The amount of care and compassion both on that day and even a week after when they sent us a signed card along with paw prints is above and beyond anything I would have imagined. We've had only great experiences with Rice Pet Clinic. They're always so kind and gentle; we've been bringing our elderly cat in for the past few months to be treated by Dr. Casey, and she is always so good to him and does a very thorough job. I also never feel pressured to do anything unreasonable given his age and condition. I've never had to wait in the waiting room for my appointment, and I always get a phone call within a week with results for things like bloodwork etc. We wouldn't take our sweet boy anywhere else!

My kitty was in need of an appointment quickly and she was able to be seen within a reasonable amount of time. All the staff was very friendly and kind. It was obvious they cared about your pet as if it were their own. I did not feel rushed and they explained everything and were there to answer any questions I had. Their follow up was great as well. My first time bringing my cat to this clinic and I felt comfortable and trusted that she was in good hands the day I left her there for surgery. My experience with the staff and doctors was above and beyond. I appreciated everything they did. Thank you Rice Pet Clinic.
