My dad was admitted to RI Hospital a couple of days after New Years 2026. He ended up in ICU, and we had Nurse Emily and she was so kind, attentive and gave us peace of mind each time we went to visit while my dad was in ICU. Thank you Emily. My dad then got moved to the 2nd floor of the Jane Brown building. I believe it was 2nd floor, room 244. We had nurse Veronica, and assistant Olga the first few days and they were absolutely amazing. They smiled through everything and just had such great energy. The sweetest people you will come across and we are very thankful for them. There were rotations and we had nurse Jessica and assistant Ryan. Equally amazing. These kind souls took great care of my dad and were very communicative with our family. They showed care, kindness at our mos
I underwent my DIEP flap reconstructive surgery at Rhode Island Hospital, and I can truly say I received the best care and treatment I could have asked for. From the moment I arrived, everyone was incredibly kind, welcoming, and professional. Being admitted to the Surgical ICU can feel overwhelming, but the team immediately made me feel comfortable and reassured. In the Surgical ICU, I was cared for by Jacob L. and Muriel B., and they were absolutely wonderful. They were attentive, compassionate, and consistently present. Anytime I pressed the call button for anything at all, they were there in less than five minutes. I understand how busy hospitals can be, but they never made me feel like just another patient. I felt seen, heard, and genuinely cared for. After being transferred to Co-Op
My Mom is there since Saturday. She had a heart attack due to the weekend they can’t do surgery on top of that they didn’t provide her food either even after surgery which was on Monday at 10am. I can’t go there because of state emergency. But they didn’t gave her food either only peanut butter jelly sandwich. In a whole day and a pitcher of water. She was crying with chest pain and headache but no medicine until I call and tell them to give her medicine. I’ll give them negative if I can. Nurses are Rude they don’t care.
The current entry process is ridiculous. I went to the hospital to pay a $100 bill. I took a ticket and entered the main parking lot. By the time I found a spot, walked to the entrance, and waited in line 15 minutes went by. I made it to the department I needed and paid my bill which took a total of 10 minutes. Unfortunately as I made it back to the main lobby to validate my parking ticket to leave, I was stuck behind an older man who clearly couldn't use the machine. There were two unoccupied workers standing right there doing nothing. By the time he finished trying to figure out the machine, I was two minutes over the 30-minutes for free parking and needed to pay $5.00. All this to give them $100 that could not be settled through the portal or over the phone. I could understand if I was
I have had two nurses today Karen and I don’t know rotten disposition treated me like I was ruining midday when I came to the hospital because I have a fracture in my spine no sense of urgency. The first nurse didn’t introduce herself to me for four hours after I was putting in a room four hours technically in the hallway it wasn’t until I said something and then afterwards I asked for a doctor and it was like I was asking her to give birth for me completely unacceptable behavior the worst nursing staff I’ve ever had in my life.
