Renaissance at Lincoln Park

My dad was a resident at Renaissance from mid-October until February, when he peacefully transitioned. I truly have nothing but positive things to say about the facility and the care he received. From the very beginning, Anita in the business office made the onboarding process smooth and much less stressful. She was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable about Medicare and payment information, and she patiently answered all of our questions. The nursing staff was exceptional. Every nurse we encountered was extremely compassionate and consistently went out of their way to make sure my dad was comfortable and cared for with dignity. The head nurse, Wendy, was top tier. She went out of her way on several occasions to make sure my dad received the “extras” he needed, which meant so much to us. N

I am writing this review to express my deepest gratitude for the exceptional care my mother (Anas, Z) receives at JDT RENAISSANCE. In particular I want to recognize the outstanding efforts of two great nurses (Jenny & Jelena) and Luce, the CNA. Navigate long term care for a loved one is a real challenging, but the presence of such compassionate and professional staff makes all the difference. Jenny, Jelena and Luce are truly angels. Their clinical expertise is evident, but it's their genuine kindness and attentiveness that truly stand out. They approach their duties not just as a job, but with a profound sense of empathy. My Mom (almost 97 yo) has been involved with JDT on and off for 3 years. Unfortunately, she is now a forever patient in the skilled nursing unit at the Renaissance. However, she is in the very capable care of Wendy, Justin and many others. Justin has been a constant presence since our first day there and was instrumental in getting us settled in. Wendy has been a great resource for information and encouraging Mom to participate at the “party room”. She knows everything that is going on and always has a smile and a good word to share. And a shout out to Shanice, the nurse from The Villa rehab unit. My mother doesn’t have much of a memory anymore but she still remembers how kind and capable Shanice was. I can't thank enough the crew at jdt Renaissance from the head nurse wendy and Ms cruz to nurse Jenny and jelena to the aid luce and Gloria to Steve in administration to Heidi and Richie in PT. They are phenomenal people who treat their in home patients like family. They are courteous, compassionate respectful and professional. Being i pharmacist myself helping the community. I know how hard it is to give that kind of high quality service to their patients. They loce what they do because it comes from the heart. My mom is in good health since she got admitted almost 2 years ago because of them and I know she's in good hands.thanks again everyone

My mother spent close to a year between JDT villas and the Renaissance nursing home before her passing. It’s never an easy situation, but there was some caring staff that made a huge positive impact on her experience. Firstly George on the second floor at JDT villas, and then Wendy and Justin in the Renaissance. It was a very difficult adjustment for my mother to go from being completely independent to living in a home. Those three employees made her feel heard, and they always promptly acted when asked. They had tremendous compassion and empathy, and it’s not an easy job! I felt safe leaving my mother there, knowing that she was in their capable hands— I can’t thank them enough!
