Rehabilitation Hospital of Kingsport

The administrative and medical staff at Encompass has been great with my 87 year-old mother receiving rehab after a back injury! Her case manager Stacy has kept in touch with me every step of the rehab journey. Everyone is very professional, the facilities are extremely clean, and the attention to detail is outstanding. I highly recommend Encompass!

Don't even think about sending your loved one anywhere except one of the Encompass rehabs. Kingsport, Bristol, or Quillen in Johnson City. The most important thing you need to know is that this is a rehabilitation hospital which is a whole different Universe than a skilled nursing rehab facility which is what almost all of them are. I did not understand that at first. My mom broke her hip in November and went to a different rehab for almost a month and made almost no progress. She came home and didn't walk again. We expected to be having to plan Comfort Care in the very near future. From laying in bed so long she was so weak that she could not even move if there were too many blankets on top of her. Trying to get her into bed you had to lift her legs and put them in she could not lift them

Rehabilitation Hospital of Kingsport is so caring and goes above and beyond! Her case worker, Stacy, has tackled all of the logistics, insurance and given moral support. She has even used her skills to help with rehab. Michael has given his all in helping my sister-in-law tackle pain and mobility issues with a great and compassionate heart. These pictures represent the joy of my sister-in-law finally making it out of the hospital bed and in the wheelchair. A joyous day for sure!

The staff here is outstanding. Compassionate beyond belief and top notch in their fields. The therapists were terrific. They are patient, but know just how to motivate someone to do the work. The nurses are always ready to talk and answer questions, and the floor staff is always ready with a smile and a hand. The admin staff are so thoughtful, and a huge help when additional resources are needed. Both my parents were here at the same time and I can’t be more grateful for all the help we received.

I fell in broke my right leg and right wrist. Had a hip replacement and a pin in my wrist. Had to spend 2 weeks in rehab. Everyone there was nice and helpful. Got me back up to walking. Nice facility
