Rehabilitation and Critical Care Hospital of the Black Hills

I’m here because of a broken hip. It is the first time in 73 years that I’ve been in the hospital (other than babies) every staff member has done everything they can to make me comfortable. My healing & progress has been their top priority. The PT sessions have been tailored to meet my needs for when I leave this facility. The staff is courteous & caring. If this had to happen, I feel blessed to be here. Big thanks to all involved w my healing!

I was so impressed with how all the therapists worked into sessions my loved one's interests. One day they set up a mock pool table and I brought his pool sticks to incorporate into his occupational therapy. If you have a loved one that has to have inpatient rehabilitation services, this is the place to have them!

My mother is currently there. Food is sub par at best! The kitchen does not follow food restrictions. My mom 96 has lost 10 lbs in less than two weeks. They say oh we cook for 40 people and cannot cater individually...which I know. However the quality is sub par. Maybe a new kitchen manager is needed!!! Best if people bring in food from the outside. Also there are no set schedules for Physical Therapy....when ever they get around to it!!!

How wonderful that we have such a place like this so close to home! It has been such a positive experience so far for our daughter. Having 24 hour nursing care, a Doctor, physical therapy and occupation therapy under one roof is just the best. We have met the most caring and friendliest staff here that treat us like family but most importantly treat our daughter like she's the only patient. We recommend Rehabilitation & Critical Care of the Black Hills very highly and are so happy they have a drive thru coffee shop just down on the corner! Chris and Rose Ann Besler

I arrived Christmas Eve day! I have been treated like I’m a” real person “ and not just another patient. I have had some very serious physical therapy. The staff has been very supportive and helpful and so kind. They are responsive and friendly each time I have asked for help. There’s tremendous healing in my broken rt hip and pelvis I was told I could be here a month. The break was 12 days ago. It’s December 29th and I’m walking with a walker already! I’m stronger than I I ever really believed I could be. I need to add that I am 78 years old and no one has ever even hinted that I am too old! Staff treat me like family and I have only positive thoughts about my experience here. I encourage you to trust you will be very nurtured and cared about as you experience healing.
