Refugio County Memorial Hospital

The staff at this hospital are professional and courteous. In the lab the phlebotomist was very gentle. Awesome Physical Therapy department. Best I have ever seen/received. Grateful to have this facility in Refugio County.

Went in to have my throat checked for strep. Waited 2 1/2 hours to be told the strep culture came back negative but was diagnosed with strep anyway. For about thirty minutes I was sitting out in the hallway listening to the two doctors and a nurse talk about personal matters; such as, student loans, and family matters. All in all the staff was very unprofessional and I left feeling worse than when I went in.

Rude staff! I called to check on my fiance who was in the ER here. He recently had a heart attack so I was concerned. I'm 6 hours away and his phone had died and I could not get in touch with him. The nurse cut me off after 3 words and told me that I needed to give her the short version. I told her I just wanted to check on my fiance bc I couldn't get in touch with him. She proceeded to tell me that I could not speak to him and all she could say he was there. Gave me a quick bye And hung up. He listed me on his Hipaa so I know she could have told me if He was ok. I later spoke to my fiance and she told him that she believed she upset me, but she was the only nurse there and was too busy. Well, she did. I work for a doctor's office. No matter how busy we are, we do not treat our patients or

My mom went in for issues stabilizing her glucose number. But she was a dialysis patient and they gave her four bags of saline and then a diuretics which caused her a fluid overload and she died. They are a danger to the citizens.

Went to the ER tonight for my daughter, no wait time in waiting room.. The dr & staff were Awesome. Dr John Carroll was awesome with my daughter, making her comfortable. Had a overall great experience tonight.
