If you are looking for a kind, friendly clinic for routine care like annual exams or heartworm prescriptions, this may be a good fit. However, if your pet needs effective medical diagnosis and treatment, our experience suggests you may want to look elsewhere. Our dog got a hot spot the first week of December so we went in to get it checked out - this visit we left with generic broad range antibiotics and anti-itch cream, pretty common issue in dogs so I understood this course of action. Two weeks later after finishing the antibiotics we noticed that it wasn't getting better at all so we gave them a call and they prescribed us something different over the phone without seeing her - weird that you would know what to prescribe without seeing why the issue wasn't getting resolved. When our beloved Chloe was ill at the end of her life, our regular vet was unavailable to help us ease her suffering. The team at Reed Animal Hospital in Saratoga stepped in with such compassion and openness during a very difficult time. Dr. Reed, Sarah, Mariah, Ana, and everyone else we interacted with treated us with kindness and respect, and made sure Chloe’s final moments were peaceful. We are deeply grateful for their willingness to help us when we needed it most. Their care and empathy made a world of difference.

I would highly recommend this place to take your animal too. Making calls all day trying to get the right needs for my fur child. I was honestly losing hope with vets until someone recommended this place. I called and the women on the phone listened and was concerned about my fur child and already knew what was needed. I didn’t even know she was the manager. She was so nice. She got me an appointment and went in and the staff was AMAZING. Everyone acknowledged you and was just so gentle with your animal and making you feel comfortable. They work with you and your fur child. I would love to continue with them if my fur baby needs anything else cause I know Reeds himself and his staff, everyone there has a big heart with animals and will do what they can to help. Came here as a new patient with a sick cat after bouncing between his usual vet and emergency vet, spending thousands of dollars. Dr. reed reviewed everything and proposed the most streamlined approach to reach an answer. He and the staff were compassionate, helpful, and squeezed me and my cat in multiple times for the care he needed. When it was time to say goodbye, they set everything up and made the process as logistically smooth as possible.
