Reading Hospital HealthPlex

I just got home from my minor procedure and I can’t say enough wonderful things about the staff. Every single person I came in contact with was so kind and made me feel so comforted. Special shoutout to the team in the OR (Paula, Tim, Hanie (sp?) and Dr. Shah). Thank you ALL for your kindness.

Very nice hospital building. I love the layout, and that the procedure suites are on the ground level and the main operating rooms and hybrid operating rooms are on the lower level of the Healthplex/T building so it’s near the emergency department if a patient needs emergency surgery, patients don’t have to go upstairs to another part of the hospital and scattered across the hospital. Other features include 1 with single 50 new spacious private patient rooms on floors T1 to T5 including a wonderful view, very large green roof and amazing healing garden, Healthplex cafe, spacious waiting areas, and an expanded emergency department with 18 additional regular treatment rooms, psychiatric emergency department with 10 treatment rooms, 3 additional trauma bays, and a pediatric emergency departme

We were traveling for a wrestling tournament, I appreciate the time and dedication the from the EMTs, the doctors. Their Peds unit is very nice, doctors ran tests, were all very attentive to my son’s medical condition, history, and our concerns. Thank you many blessings!

This is a quality facility. We used it 3 times in the last 8 weeks. The procedures went very well. We were kept informed by text during each procedure to keep us updated. Top Notch service. My husband's open heart surgery was performed here and everything went very well. The Drs, nurses were very professional kind and answered any questions we had.

The Nurse who.was charged with my care was AWFUL! She literally treated me like i was a nuisance from the moment she walked in the room. I was awaiting an IMRI Spinal.Tap. When i expressed.concern about being immobile for hours afterward she told me there was nothing she could give me, just so i knew. My comfort was of no.concern to her. Then she expressed it wasn't her Department and that i needed to.call my Dr! SERIOUSLY! Everything is a kiosk and now they want the Patient to.call the Dr from THEIR hospital bed! Never again! Tower Health has shown me time and again that they sre available to.collect their pay checks but unavailable to do their jobs! I am going to.PENN!
