Rami Elshaar, M.D. - Orthopedic Surgeon

The entire staff, from my first phone call to getting surgery set up have been amazing! I felt heard and seen by Dr. Elshaar. Especially Melissa, she has been so kind and understanding while we worked in getting the surgery scheduled. She worked hard to help get my surgery scheduled and worked with my insurance company. I would highly recommend Dr. Elshaar and his staff!

In 2018, at age 42, I was diagnosed with arthritis - and consigned myself to a life of degenerative pain. After nearly 2 years of occasional PT, my physical therapist strongly recommended that I seek out Dr. Elshaar for a second opinion. Within 5 minutes of reading my scans, Dr. Elshaar told me a) I didn’t have arthritis, b) I did have a torn meniscus from a running injury , and c) it was operable and he could fix it. 6 weeks later, I was back on my feet - stunned to have “lost” 2 years - but thrilled to have found Dr. Elshaar. After two previous shoulder surgeries, rotator cuff repair, 2nd rotator cuff with biceps tendonesis. Wasn’t much left to repair, had a reverse shoulder replacement, at 62 I have lots I want to do, travel, and be active. Best decision I ever made! Highly recommend Dr Elschar. He is very knowledgeable and explained everything that was easy to understand, along with teaching materials, and video describing the whole process.

As a woman of larger size, I am used to having my concerns dismissed by physicians, in particular within orthopedics. I brought my MRI to the doctor who carefully reviewed it and discussed with me a plan of care involving surgery. At no time did I ever feel like my concerns were dismissed and that my first post-op visit I thanked him profusely for being a kind, competent, and compassionate physician. I honestly can't say enough good things about this physician's capabilities and bedside manner. I would strongly recommend him to anybody in need of care for their shoulder. My entry was a full thickness rotator cuff repair with bicep tenodesis. I hurt myself pretty badly and he did an amazing job!
