Raley's Pharmacy

I had a very frustrating experience with Leslie at the pharmacy while trying to resolve an issue with a prescription transfer. My medication had been sent to another Raley’s location that wasn’t open yet, so I called to ask what my options were since this is a medication I cannot safely go without. During the call, Leslie repeatedly talked over me, cut me off mid sentence, and acted as if I was inconveniencing her for asking basic questions about my own prescription. At one point she placed me on hold and then claimed the call had “disconnected.” I was using iPhone Hold Assist, which keeps the call active unless someone actually hangs up, so the call had not disconnected. Leslie was really weird and rude on the phone. She acted like I was highly inconveniencing her by asking insurance/prescription transfer questions. She kept talking over me and saying that she was busy and had other things to do, instead of just asking me to call later or putting me on hold after picking up the phone. I’ve never really had an experience like this at a pharmacy before, it was very weird behavior from a grown woman.

After using Raley’s pharmacy on East Ave for 15 years, I’ve finally had enough and transferred my family’s prescriptions elsewhere. They used to be great, but after the pandemic in 2020 staffing must have become an issue because the people who work the counter are not only not helpful, they can be downright rude. It’s now happened so many times over the last few years that I’m no longer going to give them my money for such poor service. Most recently, while filling a $500 prescription for which I had a significant discount card, they told me “the discount card isn’t working, that will be $500 please”. Um, no. It finally did work, but only after 3 trips to the pharmacy and me asking them to call the number provided by the medication manufacturer. They took no responsibility for the error. T

Horrible service. My prescriptions were sent in at 8am and I went to pick it up at 6pm. Was told they were behind and my prescriptions were not ready until the next day. She confirmed my phone number and said I will received a call the next day when my prescriptions are ready. Never received a call. I called back the next day around 6pm again and was told they cannot fill my prescriptions and the meds are available over the counter. I’m will not even be upset if I was told the first time to save my time. I would of appreciated a phone call as they promised. This is the second time I’ve had bad experience and communication with this pharmacy. Thankful for the guy who explained and apologized today tho.

Honestly the best customer service and easiest to deal with pharmacy in Chico. The staff are all kind and communicate clearly. Never much of a wait if any. It’s nice to get my grocery shopping done when I’m picking up my prescriptions too. I’m so glad I switched here around a year ago.
