Rachel Schleichert

I was recently diagnosed with a squamous cell carcinoma on my lower right eyelid and referred to Dr. Rachel Schleichert for MOHS surgery to remove it. Of course, I had a lot of anxiety about undergoing such a procedure so close to my eye. From my initial contact with her staff and going to her office for the appointment, I was treated with utmost respect and professionalism by her team. When Dr. Schleichert entered the room with her genuine smile to greet me and do the procedure, my nervousness and anxiety level lessened immediately. She was so friendly and reassuring, explaining the procedure in an understandable manner. I placed my trust in her. Local anesthesia was used that made the surgery go without much discomfort. I've never felt more comfortable at a Dr visit than I did here. Everyone was so nice and made me feel at ease even before my appointment. I didn't have a long wait at all when I arrived, the procedure was quick and they went over all the care instructions. When I went back to get my stitches removed they were impressed with how well it healed and still went over what to do to lessen the visibility of the scar. I feel confident the scar won't be anywhere near as visible as I thought it would be. Pic is just hours after my stitches were removed and I had the stitches in for 2 weeks.

Wow, what a surprisingly incredible visit to a doctor office... it's been years since I can honestly say this. Friendly staff that starts with the first phone call with Faith, then to the nursing team of Nicole and Connie, which operate smoothly and with a smile, to the Dr Schleichert, who was simply fantastic. Having any kind of surgery can make you nervous enough, but to have such a competent doctor that took the time to explain everything, walk me through the process of mohs surgery, and than to be so proficient and good at it made the entire experience stress free. Dr Schleichert is truly a maestro as what she does, and equally important truly puts you at ease throughout the entire process. After the visit, I couldn't imagine going anywhere else if the need arises again in the future.

Wonderful experience with Dr. Schleichert. I had a basal cell carcinoma diagnosis just under my eye and boy was it big. Dr. Schleichert and her team made me feel as ease. She explained the procedure clearly and it went smooth as silk. I was left with a large defect that required reconstruction by a plastic surgeon the following day (we knew this going in so I was all set to go), but Dr. Schleichert's expertise allowed for the minimum amount of tissue removal while getting all of the cancer. My lower lid was left intact and this made the reconstruction much less complicated. I highly recommend Dr. Schleichert!
