Last month I had a procedure at Drs. Guley and Gomez's office, where a tooth was surgically removed, and the adjacent crown was broken. Initially, I was told by the dentist that my crown was only chipped and was advised to follow up with my regular dentist. However, I later discovered that the crown was actually cracked in half during the procedure, and I was not informed of this at the time. To make matters worse, today I was quoted $1,259.50 to replace the crown, and I also received a $39.00 bill from the oral surgeon's office. While I understand that I signed an agreement acknowledging potential risks, I feel that I was misinformed about the extent of the damage to my crown.
