Pura Clinic Urgent Care

Do not go to this place. They sent me to valley imaging for x ray and I was told by the doctor once he gets the results he will call me to come back to come for treatment. I had to call multiple times the next day and it got all the way til closing before they reviewed my x ray. After being told that my results wouldn’t be back til Friday and this was Wednesday. Valley told me the results would be in the very next morning. So I was being given a run around story by the staff. When someone finally spoke to me about the results (not the doctor) they told me to follow up with my primary doctor. I spent money on urgent care and was given a prescription on the day of my x ray with no follow up after the results that I had to call multiple times for. Flu season! I decided to travel a little further away from home and have no regrets. I took my family in as walk-ins in the middle of the week and filled out about 10 minutes of paperwork (the norm). I noticed right away that the clinic is very clean. The receptionist also came out to sanitize the lobby as often as she could. The lobby is small about 20 seats or so and one family was ahead of us. My family was seen right away and the doctor who saw us was an older gentleman who took care of our needs right away. Very nice, wholesome respectful doctor. The receptionist was very nice and respectful as well. The parking lot is small because it is shared with a few smaller stores. Dr. Shakir is usually pretty good, but I saw a newer doctor during my visit, who didn't seem to take my concerns about my symptoms as seriously as they should have. One of the older receptionist ladies was pretty rude. She had an attitude. People are coming in sick and hurt, and they don't need to deal with your poor, rude attitude too. Might not be coming back.

The PA that took care of me was great! She paid attention to detail and was concerned about my concerns. However the receptionist and the intake personnel were not attentive nor were they professional in my opinion. Upon arrival myself and the other patients had to wait upward of 40 minutes as they were on their scheduled lunch. I also didn’t feel like they heeded to my concerns in the same way I I heard them with other patients. Very disappointed & I will be pursuing other family clinics.

This is a very nice facility and I only had to wait about 1 hour to be seen. There was 4 people who were ahead of me and only one doctor here so a very acceptable timeframe. The receptionist lady was very nice the paper work process was no problem. I did half to have the doctor check my BP manually because the tech guy couldn’t get the machine to work right (although the cuff wasn’t on my arm the right way which I told him but he didn’t say much about it and just left it) so I took it off bc it was squeezing my arm so many times. But after that everything went well. The dr was nice and treated me for exactly what I thought I had. I’m glad I went I just hope they make sure there assistants are doing things the right way.
