Publix Pharmacy at Paradise Shoppes of Apollo Beach

These guys are the worst. There's not a single person behind that counter that knows what they're doing (including the Pharmacist). I just moved to Apollo Beach and had my doctor call in a prescription for me (8am). I figured I would just swing by and pick it up on my way home later that evening. I walk up to the counter 10 hours later to pick it up, and the Pharmacist (Rochelle, I believe) says "We're still working on it. It will be ready in a hour." I asked why it would take that long since it was called in at 8am. She said "Our computers have been down all day, but it will be ready in an hour.". It took me more than 10 hours to fill my prescriptions. The script was sent in at 11am and by 8pm, they still hadn't been filled. When I reached out (4 times), they didn't answer the phone. They picked it up and placed it on hold without even saying to hold. The other thing that's been a struggle is that the employees seem disgruntled. I had an encounter with more than one (happy to put their names on here but won't for now), who were rude. Most of the Publix pharmacies are great, but for some reason, this one has some employees with attitudes and long wait times. Publix just has higher standards than this, so it's a bit disappointing.

RICKY, the pharmacist is the nicest, friendliest, and most accommodating person I ever had the pleasure to meet. This is an 100% objective review, as I have no affiliation with this Publix or any staff member. I came here for the first time last week to get a script filled and I was blown away with the best customer service I have ever experienced. I was immediately greeted with a genuine by the female pharmacy assistant. I explained to her that I had an emergency type situation and needed to get my script filled right away. She checked with the pharmacist to make sure my medicine was in stock. I then introduced myself and my dilemma to Ricky, the pharmacist in charge. Latoya in the pharmacy is so rude I cannot believe this is part of of Publix - Just because you do not know the answer to a question is no reason to get rude and nasty. Go back to customer service training.

I moved all my prescriptions here. Just one time, I would like to pick them all up on the same day. I used to get them all at the same time at another pharmacy, but they just can't, or don't want, to fill them all on the same day so you only make one trip! It's irritating! I think it's their store policy to get you in there to shop more! It just irritates me more! Other than that, the employees are very nice and they actually answer the phone when you call!
