Publix Pharmacy at Avalon Park

Can’t say enough good things about Faye, Kiefer and the rest of the pharmacy team. I take a ton of medication where the insurance always wants to change things up. The pharmacy has always been great helping me navigate all the issues and red tape. They are also great about finding you coupons and rebates if your insurance doesn’t cover your medication. Faye has also caught twice where my doctor was prescribing me medication that would interfere with something else I am already taking. I really appreciate that attention to detail.

After months of seemingly endless and inevitable issues with pharmacies in this area I switched to this one, and it's been a night and day difference. My prescription is always ready the same day the doctor calls it in, and the pharmacists are always friendly, attentive, and competent. I highly recommend this pharmacy to anyone living in the area.

Stopped in on my lunch break to pick up a prescription that my doctor had electronically sent over. They indicated they were still working on it and it would be about an hour. This was at 230pm. Left and returned at 6pm...and was told it would be another hour. So, I sat in one of the waiting area chairs and Keifer said 'You can't sit there!' I indicated I was waiting on a prescription that had been sent over earlier that afternoon and that it was going to be an hour. He said 'Well I'm trying to do Covid vaccinations". So I stood up and just waited awkwardly for my prescription to get filled. Then, when I was checking out I asked the representative for Keiffer's name. We had an appointment for the Covid vaccine scheduled. We arrived on time and was told the pharmacist was on lunch and to come back in 2 hours. Needless to say how inconvenient that is and defeats the purpose of an appointment. The lady sat in front (a younger women) asked us to to stand in line, just no care in the world. Didn’t specify which line and we stood in the prescription line. We were later told by another employee walking pass that we needed to go the another line. Being our second vaccine at this location , the first vaccine we did at another Publix and the experience was great and fully efficient , no issues , very smooth process and at the time that was the only publix giving the moderna so we drove an hour to them but it was so worth it.
