Providence

The food for the day I guess was creole but it wasn’t good. The rice was dry the sausage was too spicy to enjoy and also super dry and bc the heat overpowered the flavor it wasn’t easy to even force down… but the hush puppies were good. I paid almost $40 for two plates without the drinks and we were so disappointed… the hospital staff was decent but the kitchen staff was short with us and fast to pass off blame or resource to the next “vendor” not okay at all. We are already upset about being here with our loved one going into surgery….. stress has been high and we don’t want to leave bc our person is right here so we eat here…. We won’t leave him. Now we may end up being a patient with him considering the anger of my stomach. I’m sorry! I’m in the service industry and I would never be ugl

01/14/2026 I went to ER during the early morning hours and my interactions were positive with each Professional that I came in contact with. I've been to ER in the past as well as with family members and it has always been a good experience. Thank you Providence and your Staff for all you do on a daily basis. Very Appreciative!

CONTINUATION OF ER VISIT THE EVENING OF 2/5/25!!!! From the time I was seen in triage to discharge was a horrific wreck. Cna in triage using a blood pressure cuff on me that I could put 3 of my arms in literally and arguing with me that it was fine as long as it fits is a joke. Providence has always been my choice of physicians and hospital and never see anyone else but physicians from ascension group. Always have talked very highly but the care I received that evening really alarms me bc of them seeing the same things over and over and not actually assessing or monitoring the patient can take someone’s life. I actually told my significant other that if I should not make it through having Covid and then he and my family better sue ascension bc I know for a fact I was a patient that went in

5th floor mother and baby, delivery area. Our family was treated very rude by volunteer Martha. Who sits at the front as you walk in security door. Her tone, her actions was NOT welcoming at all. Let me add that this was not a joyful delivery but a grieving one. And this lady did not help with the emotions. However the regular nursing staff and Dr was sincere with comforting our family during the entire time.

Our ER experience was horrible. It was requested by mom's Dr to go to the ER because she had severely fractured her back. The Dr had called ahead to let them know she was coming down. She sat in the ER for 3 hours in pain crying. When asked about her a room they just said their cleaning one and turned their headed and acted irritated at us for asking. We watched others who came in after us be taken in quickly. By the time they got to her she was in A fib. I was so mad. How could they have let her wait that long. One orderly was so rude that I tried to turn her in but wasn't able to get her name. There was a young man there throwing up and moving from seat to seat and other people unknowingly sitting where he had just left. I would not recommend going to the ER here.
