Providence Medford Medical Center

After a frightening run to the ER, I was admitted immediately and treated compassionately, kindly and the staff left no stone unturned to try and figure out why my heart was acting up. Every single person who I interacted with demonstrated the same professionalism and kindness. Dr. Mahaja took all the time I needed to explain and reassure me. The hospital is spotless from the ER to the hallways to my room. It was a long 4 days but I won’t ever go anywhere else. Thank you Providence Medford for all you do.❤️

I was first admitted at Asante ER where I sat for 5 hours and became very ill with pain in my torso and labored breathing. They immediately assumed it was viral but it was not that kind of body ache they did blood tests and EKG twice it said all was good and told me to go home because they needed the bed for the next patient. I was scared, at home my symptoms worsened. I ended up going to Providence. I had a less than 2 hour wait. They did an EKG and immediately noticed atrial fibrillation and a heart rate of over 160. I stayed overnight. The service and attention I received far outweighed the care I received at Asante. I will never return to Asante. Providence cares

Providence is the best hospital around. Every experience I have had with them has been compassionate and caring. I have went to the ER twice, once recently and have been treated with respect and in a very professional manner. I have had experience with family members at the other local hospital (not providence) in grants pass and Medford and it had not been anything close to the treatment you get at providence, which includes ethically and morally.

Incompetent. Emergency room department is especially horrendous in our experience. Staff AND doctors seem to have burnout, and don't want to to their jobs. Doctors will discharge patients without proper treatment, blatantly going against protocol (as they did more than once in my family's experience). When this is brought to the hospital's attention they will seemingly try to cover for the doctor/hospital, and their excuses are unjustifiable and irrelevant. Some patients who clearly need treatment are either discharged without the proper treatment, and this can happen multiple times (especially for serious mental health purposes), or left in the waiting room for hours on end (this has happened with medical needs). When filing a complaint, I recommend not filing with their customer service

I never was treated until 10 hours I was waiting. I was taking into a room & felt "locked" into this bed! I figured I would be reliced in a day! But, they KEPT me for 10 days!! They kept "turning on the lights" & there wasn't anyone to stop them! I looked SO TIRED! I tried to get out of bed to go to the bathroom - but: the alarm went off & 3 people came into my room & they SHOULD NOT be there!! It was NOT a Hospital AT ALL!! Some people who came to me were nice - but most of them were "controlling" & mean! I stayed there for 10 days. & I was GLAD I got out of this prison!! I DON'T recommend this Hospital AT ALL to ANYONE!
