ProMedica Urgent Care - Toledo

It’s not often that I love urgent care, but yesterday we were so lucky to have this team. I took our baby in and we had an amazing person (I’m sorry I forget her name) help check my baby. She was super comforting and listened to my issues and understood. Then came in Kim, and she was just as amazing. Did not rush me, thoroughly checked my daughter and found the issue. She trusted mom’s instincts and truly listened and didn’t write anything off as “just being a baby.” She had a double ear infection and I’m really grateful they were all so kind and helpful. I wish every Dr / Nurse could be this way.

I have never felt the need to write a review about a healthcare provider, but repeated misdiagnosis and lack of proper treatment are serious concerns. When my family is unable to get an appointment with our primary care provider, we have gone to this facility. Unfortunately, our experiences with the nurse practitioner (blonde hair—no name needed, as her bedside manner makes her easily identifiable) have been very poor and have ultimately cost our family more time, money, and unnecessary trips. A few months ago, I was seen for an ongoing ear infection. I had severe pain, swelling behind the ear, redness, and vertigo. The nurse practitioner stated that my ear was clear with no redness and said the antibiotic had resolved the infection. However, by the next day my symptoms worsened and draina

Took my 1 year old here for coughing, ear pain and wheezing was told by the doctor it was nothing and “she’s probably teething” made her an appt the next day at the real doctor, she ended up having croup, bronchitis and an ear infection and needed steroids, breathing treatments and antibiotics. These doctors are trying to rush people out and have no idea what they are taking about. So glad I know my baby well enough to have gotten a second opinion

Went early morning because I thought I had a UTI. I was right. Got tested , saw a PA and was home within one hour. PA was very efficient, friendly, and respectful. Loved her attitude. Bad news......the woman that took me into the room was very rude, unfriendly, talked over me and didn't explain things to me. Could not understand a thing she said!!!! Luckily, everyone else was friendly and efficient.

Have been here a few times for ear infections and each time they have misdiagnosed me and I have subsequently had to go elsewhere days later for worsening pain and symptoms. Staff lack being personable with their patients and don’t listen. I work in healthcare/bedside and know my body so it’s frustrating when I feel I am not being heard. The CNPs that I saw today were dismissive. Will not return.
