Professional Park Pediatrics

Dr. Elzie was my Pediatrician when I grew up, so I was very surprised to see he was still practicing at PPP now that I’m preparing to find care for my future baby. I was excited but met with disappointment once they told me they don’t accept babies born at birth centers or home births. This was my first time hearing a provider refuse based on that. It’s not listed on their website and the nurse who shared this information over the phone was condescending and as the conversation went on it was clear she had misinformation about Florida LICENSED midwives and the care they provide. When asked why they don’t accept babies born out of the hospital, she said because the babies don’t receive the proper care and shots they need that’s given if they were born in the hospital…. I have 3 kids (4yrs, 2yrs and 11mths) that have been going here since they were born. The doctors and nurse practitioners are great but the front staff and the nurses are horrible! They are rude and talk down to you like you are stupid! Instead of helping to solve the problem they just keep talking in circles in a condescending tone! I’m now in search for a new pediatrician because I can’t deal with the front staff and nurses any longer

I feel compelled to give a review because it seems lots of folks are being hard on this place. With two youngsters who have gone here for years, we’ve always had a good experience. We’re usually seen quickly and the service has always been friendly. I’ll admit the phone folks can be a bit brusque, but they’re fielding lots of calls and have to prioritize efficiency I suppose. I feel they’ve always understood and respected the role of the parents to make health care decisions for their children, and have never felt that they have tried to steamroll me into doing anything that I didn’t want to do at the time. For example, we spread our vaccinations out over time vs doing all at once (as most offices would prefer) and this didn’t cause much fuss. For how many kids this office handles, they a

Love, love, love Professional Park Pediatrics. Have been using this office since my son's birth. We love it. The front office staff is always friendly and helpful in accommodating us if we need a same day appointment. Dr. Martin always listens and takes any concerns seriously. He never makes me feel like a crazy mom and never rushes us out the door. Wouldn't want to go anywhere else.

We have been a patient of Professional Park Pediatrics for over 13 years now and they have always been great to us. I wanted to say though that Taylor has been the best to us!! she always goes the extra mile with any of my problems and generally cares about the well being of my children and that makes my heart feel good.
