I’m very disappointed with my recent experience at Prevea. During my routine physical, the provider never communicated that our discussion had shifted into billable services beyond preventative care. I was later hit with unexpected charges, and when I reached out for clarification, there was no willingness to review or resolve the issue. Their response was essentially that nothing could be done, even though the lack of communication happened on their end. Overall, this has been a frustrating and disappointing experience, and I’ll be considering other providers moving forward.

I came in for what I thought would be a routine new patient physical to establish care, but ended up receiving a surprise bill for $348 due to how the office coded the visit. Despite not bringing up any new concerns and only discussing existing conditions already in my chart, they added a diagnostic office visit charge (CPT 99204) on top of the preventive physical — something I’ve never experienced at any other clinic when establishing care. When I asked for clarification and requested a review, I was told that simply refilling a medication for a long-standing condition was enough to justify the extra charge. How do I miss Sara. She was great with my children, I took my 3 year old to an appointment that I scheduled the day before. When I got there I was told about 37755 times that they tried to call me to ask if I was okay with the PA, Marlee Hall, not being able to look in my daughter's ears. I work second shift so I couldn't answer when they called me. They asked me again and again if I was okay with her not looking at her ears. I said yes. Marlee was not personable with my daughter. Not once did she try to talk to my daughter, or get her to warm up to her. When my daughter flinched from her because she didn't understand what she was doing to her, the PA sighed impatiently. It was a first time appointment with nurse practitioner Angela Montague for a general health checkup. Angela was very professional, having her information on me at her fingertips, asking good and probing health questions and allowing me to explain my issues. Follow up information and test results were coming via emails in the next day or so, and I know I can contact her if needed.
