I was referred by my primary dentist for a follow-up with Dr. Dieu, DMD, MD, including wisdom teeth removal. While I had read some mixed reviews online, my experience couldn’t have been better. From the moment I left a message, the office staff were responsive, professional, and welcoming. Everything about the referral, Xray and coordination of care was smooth. The office itself is well-kept, and they proudly accept Medicaid and other insurances that many surgeons won’t, which shows their commitment to accessible care. Dr. Dieu is genuinely nice and clearly dedicated to doing what’s best for his patients. He was even willing to advocate with insurance to help cover more of my care, if necessary. My dentist recommended me to this place, but I wish I went somewhere else. I visited last year for wisdom teeth removal. During both the consultation and surgery days I expressed how anxious and scared I was. Dr. Dieu seemed very cold short with me and did a horrible job at comforting me which was disappointing. On the day of my surgery, the Dr. starts prepping on me right away without no warning, and as he’s inserting a needle into me I ask “is that going to put me to sleep?” He nods nonchalantly. Like a little heads up would’ve been nice! Originally the Dr. told me that my insurance will cover the operation and that I only had a copay of $4. A year later and I am still receiving bills in the mail from them, and when I call to ask why they tell me that I owe and that my insurance didn’t
